Lakeside Women's Hospital

Pelvic Health Program

Lakeside is dedicated to providing women with a full range of medical and surgical therapies to assist in the treatment of urinary and fecal incontinence, as well as pelvic organ prolapse.

Symptoms often include leakage of urine with exercise, coughing or laughing; or the feeling of a bulge at the vaginal opening. Some women may also experience urinary frequency or urinary urgency.

Women of all ages can be affected and risk factors include family history, obstetrical history, repetitive heavy lifting and chronic constipation.

Non-surgical Solutions

Lakeside offers several non-surgical options for pelvic floor symptoms such as the following.

  • Medication
  • Physical Therapy
  • Laser Vaginal Therapy

Laser vaginal therapy is used with patients experiencing the following symptoms: overactive bladder, painful intercourse, pelvic organ prolapse, and/or urinary incontinence.

Surgical Options

Lakeside provides patients with access to state-of-the-art robotic surgery technology. Many urological conditions can be treated effectively without a large incision and with less pain.
